The hotel is modest but clean, characterized by friendly owners who provide personalized care, helping visitors feel at home amidst the city's rich atmosphere.

“This is a nice inn where the owner's family was very kind and heartwarming. The building itself may be a little old, but the location was good, and above all the service was great. At first, it is difficult to adjust the shower temperature, but after the second day, you will know that. Everything is within walking distance around here. The wife of this hotel is so friendly and treats us like a family. Even if we come home late at night, they don't look displeased and come to open the front gate. And the Wi-Fi speed was perfect! We can't speak Spanish, but she responded in English. Thanks to you, our stay in Oaxaca was wonderful. I could only stay in Oaxaca for two days, but I caught a cold and could hardly go out, so I didn't know enough about Oaxaca. So it's definitely necessary to come back here and enjoy sightseeing. Let's meet again then ! Muchas gracias!”

“Wonderful Stay at Hotel Florida, Oaxaca - We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Florida! Blanca and José, the couple who run the hotel, were absolutely wonderful—so kind, welcoming, and great to talk to. They offered great local suggestions, helped with directions, and were so kind to talk to. They truly went above and beyond, even arranging a taxi for us to the airport at 5 a.m. The hotel itself is simple but very clean and well kept. There is no restaurant but there are many options nearby. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Housekeeping stopped by daily with fresh towels and toiletries, and if we ever needed anything, Blanca and José were more than happy to help. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay, made even better by their hospitality. The only thing to note is that the hotel is on a busy street, so you can hear some traffic and city noise at night—especially during the Day of the Dead festivities. But overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again!”

“I really appreciated the hosts' warm welcome. It felt like staying with a kindly aunt and uncle. It's only a short walk away from the zocalo and some good cafes. The room felt safe and the bed was comfortable. There was no air conditioning and, coming from a colder climate, the heat at night was uncomfortable. There was a ceiling fan but it rattled, too loudly to sleep, even with earplugs. Overall I felt the room was a little bit overpriced given the above factors and, if i return to Oaxaca, I'll probably pay a little more and get a hotel with AC. However, if you're used to warm nights, then this might be a good option.”

“This is an excellent budget place to stay at. The rooms are cheap, the place is clean and well kept, and the owners are incredibly friendly.”

“I had the best stay in Hotel Florida in Oaxaca. The hotel itself is simple but there is everything you need, also in the rooms (unless you absolutely need aircon). The hotel is also very clean and it has a real charm. The aerea is absolutely safe. The value for money is very, very good. What makes the stay unique and unforgettable is the welcoming and warm atmosphere created by the owners Blanca and José. I got a lot of hints and information of the aerea, about the culture, about lots of things. Especially Blanca is very outgoing and fun to talk to. Thanks a lot for the wonderful time, Blanca and Joé I'd come back anytime. To me Hotel Florida is THE adress to stay in Oaxaca.”

“Overall would recommend for the price! The staff is very kind and helpful, they assisted us with transport and with our bags after the check-out. The location is just a short walk from Zocalo, easy to move around.”

“The owners are such lovely people - they were super helpful and patient with our lack of Spanish! They even gifted us some trinkets when we left. The rooms are great for the price and come with fans for hot Oaxacan nights. The property also has the cutest cat, Panda! She's a precious grumpy girl ⬛”
